What is Player Analytics?
Player Analytics is one of the disciplines inside our Live Operations (LiveOps) craft. Put simply, it's the specific work of taking player analytics from an open question to a shipped, production-ready part of your game — with its own process, tooling and quality bar, distinct from the other services inside Live Operations (LiveOps).
Types of player analytics
Early-stage player analytics
Exploratory work done before direction is locked — cheap, fast iterations so the wrong path gets ruled out before real production time is spent.
Production player analytics
The core body of work once direction is approved — built to your project's actual pipeline and technical constraints.
Polish & handoff player analytics
Final refinement pass plus documentation, so whichever team picks up the work next has everything they need.
Why it matters
Player Analytics is one of the core disciplines inside our Live Operations (LiveOps) craft. Our team treats it the way we treat every service we offer: not a checkbox to tick, but a craft with its own process, tooling and quality bar. Whether you need a single deliverable or player analytics folded into a full production pipeline, we scope it around your actual game, not a generic template.
What's included
- ✓Initial brief & reference alignment for player analytics
- ✓Draft pass for internal review
- ✓Revision round based on your feedback
- ✓Final production-ready delivery
- ✓Documentation handoff for your team
How we run it
Our method for player analytics.
Our approach to player analytics follows the same discipline we apply across Live Operations (LiveOps): season & event calendar; then economy & reward tuning; then live dashboard setup; then post-event retro & iterate. We scope against your actual game and pipeline rather than a generic template, keep you in the loop with regular check-ins rather than a single reveal at the end, and document decisions as we go so the work is easy for your team to pick up, extend or hand off to another vendor later if needed.

Tools & technology we use
PlayFab
Backend-as-a-service for live game features — economy, leaderboards, player data — without building server infrastructure from scratch.
GameAnalytics
Player behaviour and funnel analytics feeding directly into LiveOps decisions.
Custom LiveOps dashboard
Purpose-built internal tooling for scheduling events, tuning economies and monitoring live metrics without a code deploy.
A/B testing tools
Controlled experimentation frameworks for validating LiveOps and monetization changes before a full rollout.
How to work with us
Engagement models.
Fixed-scope package
A defined set of deliverables (e.g. 10 character concepts, 3 revision rounds) scoped and quoted upfront — best when you know exactly what you need.
Day rate
Our team embeds with yours for a set number of days, working directly against your priorities — best for ongoing or fast-moving production.
Ongoing retainer
A dedicated monthly capacity block, so you always have this craft available without re-scoping every request — best for live titles and long production runs.

Frequently asked
How does pricing work?
It depends on scope — tell us what you need on a quick call and we'll come back with a fixed-scope quote or a day-rate estimate, whichever fits better.
How fast can you start?
For most engagements we can kick off within 1-2 weeks of a signed scope — sooner if timing is tight and the fit is right.
Do you work with teams outside India?
Yes — most of our clients are outside India. We work async-friendly across time zones and keep a standing weekly sync with every active project.
Can this be part of a larger engagement?
Absolutely — this is one of the crafts inside our full studio offering, and it's common for us to pick up multiple services on the same project as it grows.
Do we own the final work?
Yes, full IP ownership transfers to you on final payment, as set out in the engagement contract.
How many revision rounds are included?
Every fixed-scope package includes at least two rounds of feedback and revision by default — we'll confirm the exact number when we scope your project.
Do you sign NDAs?
Yes — happy to sign a mutual NDA before any confidential material changes hands, especially for unannounced titles.
Can you join a project that's already in progress?
Yes — we regularly join projects mid-flight. We'll do a short audit first so the handover is smooth and we're not guessing at your existing conventions.
What happens if our scope changes mid-project?
We re-scope and re-quote the delta rather than renegotiating the whole engagement — most changes just become an addendum to the existing SOW.
Who will we actually be working with day to day?
A named lead for this craft, not a rotating pool — you'll have one point of contact who knows your project throughout the engagement.

This is exactly the kind of breakdown I needed — saved for the next sprint planning.

Curious how this scopes for a small indie team — any minimum engagement size?
